Southern Oregon freshman Alexis Mahoney scored a pair of second half goals to allow the Raiders to tie Corban 2-2 today in Salem.

Southern Oregon is now 6-8-2 overall and 4-3-1 in Cascade Conference play. Corban is now 9-5-3 overall and 6-1-1 in conference play.

Southern Oregon wraps up the regular season tomorrow night at Northwest Christian. The Raiders are still in a battle with Oregon Tech and Eastern Oregon for the final two playoff spots.

"The first half wasn't pretty," SOU head coach Jon Clement said. "But we started winning certain areas of the field in the second half. It wasn't the greatest soccer, but to be down two goals in the second half on the road and still come away with a point - we'll take that."

Mahoney got the Raiders on the board right after halftime and then scored again in the 68th minute off a perfect pass from Chenin Young to tie the match.

In overtime, both teams had several opportunities but couldn't come away with the game-winner.

Mahoney finished with six of Southern's 14 shots and four of the team's eight shots on goal.

"She played really well and was dangerous the whole time she was on the field," Clement said.

Denise Powell added five shots and three shots on goal and Jessica Kuehlwein had six saves.
