Raiders Extend Streak To 13

The 12th-ranked Southern Oregon volleyball team extended their winning streak to 13 with a 25-16, 25-3, 25-14 victory over Evergreen State tonight in Olympia, Wash.

Southern Oregon improved to 22-2 overall and 16-1 in conference play. The Raiders will play for at least a share of the Cascade Conference title tomorrow night at Northwest. Evergreen State fell to 1-25 overall and 1-16 in conference play.

Junior Leah Bergstrom led SOU with 11 kills and a .667 attach percentage and Heather Porter had 10 kills and a .600 attack percentage. Becky Johnstone had a match high 13 digs and Angela Spieker had 19 assists, five digs and one ace.

The Raiders put the match away in the second set by hitting .625 and holding Evergreen to a -.152 attack percentage. As a team, SOU hit .463 as a team and held the Geoducks to a -.023 attack percentage.
