Southern Oregon senior Jacki Speer (Centralia, Wash./Centralia)'s career is now wrapped up with her being named an NAIA All-American Tuesday evening.

Speer was named to the NAIA's second team, marking the third time in SOU history a player has been named All-American in multiple years (Melissa Bogh 1994-95, 95-96, 96-97 and Nada Janackovic 1997-98, 98-99). Speer was named third team All-American as a junior.

The All-American honor comes following a season in which she was named the Cascade Conference's Player of the Year.

Speer led the Cascade Conference in scoring (20.6) and rebounding (13.8) and also ranked second in the Nation in rebounding and fifth in scoring. She also ranked in the top 20 in blocks.

Speer's career will go down as one of the most impressive in school history. For her career, Speer broke six career or season records. Those records include career rebounds (1,358), season rebounds (428), free throws made in a career (612), free throws made in a season (238), free throw attempts in a career (841) and free throw attempts in a season (329).

She also set single-game records for rebounds (28) and free throws attempted (21).

She also finished in the top five on numerous other lists and just missed breaking the career scoring record. Speer finished with 1,864 points, just one point shy of Melissa Bogh's 1,865 points.

For her career, Speer averaged 15.1 points and 11 rebounds and was named All-Conference three times and Freshman of the Year as a freshman.
