Thanks to fourth-ranked Concordia sweeping Oregon Tech today in Portland, the Southern Oregon softball team wrapped up the third of three spots in next weekend's Cascade Conference Postseason Tournament.
Concordia swept Oregon Tech 11-0 and 12-1 to force a tie between SOU and OIT for the No. 3 seed. Based on SOU's 2-2 mark against Concordia and the fact Oregon Tech went 0-4 against the Cavs, SOU won the tiebreaker for third place.
The Raiders (16-22, 12-12) will face second-seeded Corban (22-21, 14-8) Friday afternoon in Portland. The winner will turn around and face host and top-seeded Concordia (32-4, 21-3) in the opener of a best of three series.
Games two and three of the series will be held Saturday.
