Sweet Home High School standout Brock Crocker has signed a National Letter of Intent to wrestle at Southern Oregon next year.

Crocker is coming off a senior season in which he won the Oregon 4A State Championship at 152 pounds.

"Brock wrestled in one of the toughest weight classes in the state this year," SOU head coach Mike Ritchey said. "We like wrestlers that come from traditionally strong programs like Sweet Home, which is a wrestling community."

Crocker is a four-time state place and finished with a career record of 151-30 and 77 pins. He also helped lead his team to the Oregon Classic title this past year.

Crocker picked SOU over NAIA rival Great Falls (Mont.), thanks to its strong tradition and some alums with Sweet Home connections. Tomas Rosa, a team captain this past year, is a Sweet Home alum and is moving back to the community to coach next year. Sweet Home assistant coach Kyle Temple was also helpful in the process.

During his high school career, Crocker finished second in the state in both freestyle and Greco wrestling.

Crocker graduated high school with a 3.25 GPA and will major in Psychology at SOU.
