The Southern Oregon volleyball team earned a No. 13 ranking in the opening NAIA Top 25 Volleyball Poll.

The Raiders received 326 poll points and also finished last year ranked No. 13. Cascade Conference foe College of Idaho is ranked 16th with 282 poll points. Defending National Champion Fresno Pacific was the unanimous No. 1 pick after going 38-0 last year to win their third straight National Championship.

Fresno Pacific and Florida's Embry Riddle (receiving votes) will join SOU, Oregon Tech, Simpson and Montana Western in Friday and Saturday's Paul Elliott Invitational at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders opened the 2010 season Monday night with a sweep of Holy Names.
