ASHLAND – The annual Raider Club Scholarship Dinner and Auction brought in almost $80,000 in gifts and pledges to Southern Oregon Athletics at the annual event last Thursday.

The money raised goes toward scholarships for student-athletes at SOU.

The auction total, along with over $250,000 brought in at the annual Lithia/Raider Club Golf Shootout and a trio of gifts over $25,000 has led to a record-breaking fundraising year for the Raider Club and SOU Athletics.

The auction was highlighted by a scholarship ask that brought in $50,000. The event featured almost 200 guests that enjoyed a silent auction, dinner by Beasy's on the Creek and a live auction.

The auction total was the second highest since 2007.

The next Raider Club event is the second annual Casino Night on Aug. 15 at the Lithia Dodge Superstore in Medford.
