WHITEFISH, Mont. – Austin Dodge (Vancouver, Wash./Skyview) needed just 2 1/2 quarters of action Saturday to make himself worthy of being the Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the seventh time in his career, the league office announced Monday.

The senior quarterback inched closer to the top of the NAIA record books with five touchdowns in leading Southern Oregon University to a season-opening 51-14 win at Menlo, which was the Raiders' only scheduled nonleague game before kicking off Frontier play at 1 p.m. this Saturday against second-ranked Carroll.

Dodge completed 23 of 35 attempts against the Oaks for 321 yards and four touchdowns, bringing his career total to 106. It was his 25th career outing with over 300 passing yards, his 13th with at least four TD passes, and his six with at least four TD passes and no interceptions.

He also had a 19-yard rushing TD, his first since Oct. 8, 2011. When he tacked on that third-quarter score, the 22nd-ranked Raiders led 48-0 and his work was done for the afternoon.
