The Southern Oregon University football program is calling on former players, alumni and supporters of all kinds for help as it begins a new locker room project at Raider Stadium.

Construction has started at Raider Stadium on a project that will accommodate a new weight room, athletic offices, and football and track and field locker rooms. The Raider football team is fundraising to ensure that its space includes state-of-the-art custom lockers – and has a limited amount of time left to do so.

"This is not a two-minute drill, but a two-week drill," head coach Craig Howard said. "We must get it done ourselves. And that puts a little more commitment and a lot more pride into the project. As the head coach, I want you and the men currently carrying on the Raider tradition to have a locker that is befitting of a national championship program."

On behalf of the program, Howard is asking supporters to buy an individual locker with a donation starting at $500. In exchange, an ex-player or alumnus of your choice will have a permanent name tag above the locker that also notes his position and years played (if applicable).
