ASHLAND – Monday night's scheduled women's soccer game at Raider Stadium between Southern Oregon University and Oregon Tech has been postponed due to concerns over air quality, officials announced this afternoon.

The game was to be the season opener for both teams. It has tentatively been moved to 7 p.m. Thursday in Ashland.

Regional wildfires and the resulting air quality have forced adjustments in practice schedules at SOU and elsewhere around the Rogue Valley in recent days. As of Monday morning, the Environmental Protection Agency's Air Quality Index characterized the air as being "unhealthy for sensitive groups."
