Biography
2016 Track: As the No. 9 seed in the 5,000 meters at the NAIA Championships, and in just his third meet of the year back from injury, captured third place in 14:46.31 for his second All-American finish in a row on May 28 in Gulf Shores, Ala... Also rank the 5K at the Cascade Conference Championships and finished runner-up in 14:45.42 on May 14 in Hermiston... Only other race of the season wasn't until April 23, when he was second at the Raider Invitational in 14:47.68.
2015 Cross Country: Redshirted.
2015 Track: Became SOU's 12th outdoor NAIA champion with a stunning comeback in the 5,000-meter title race that he only led for the last second, winning it in 14:45.74. SOU had never before produced an All-American in the 5K... Also had to pull off an upset to win the 5K at the Cascade Conference Championships (14:49.76)... Top 5K time (14:17.19) was recorded at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival... Won the 1,500-meter race at the SOU Raider Open with a season-best time of 3:54.29.
2014 Cross Country: Placed 18th at the Cascade Conference Championships with a time of 25:39.
Prior to SOU: Was an All-American and California state champion in the 5,000 meters at West Los Angeles College... Had personal bests of 3:59.85 in the 1,500 meters and 14:41.54 in the 5K.
Personal: A graduate of Birmingham Community Charter High School in Los Angeles... Parents are Adele and Jerry; has two brothers, Dylan (a current runner at SOU) and Wade.
