Biography
2017 Outdoor Track: Became SOU’s second-ever two-time NAIA All-American in the 3K steeplechase, placing 7th at the NAIA Outdoor Championships with a time of 9:28.12 after placing 8th the year before… Was the runner-up in the steeplechase at the Cascade Conference Championships in 9:24.38… Established a new steeple PR at the S.F. State Distance Carnival of 9:13.98, which ranked 6th on the NAIA list… Earned spring Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete and Academic All-CCC honors.
2016 Cross Country: Was the Raiders’ fifth scorer in their title-capturing performance at the NAIA Championships, placing 47th of 331 overall on the 8K North Farms Cross Country Course in 25:34.9… Took 17th of 80 at the Cascade Conference Championships in 27:25.6 as SOU won its ninth straight title… Notched his top finish, 3rd of 69, at the Warrior Invitational in 25:08.1… Named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete and Academic All-CCC team member.
2016 Track: Became an NAIA All-American in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an eighth-place finish in 9:26.67 on May 28 in Gulf Shores, Ala., making him SOU's first All-American in the steeple since 2013... Placed third in the steeple at the Cascade Conference Championships (9:36.74) on May 13 for All-CCC honors... Had season-bests of 1:59.10 in the 800 (April 30, Mt. Hood Track Festival), 3:59.75 in the 1,500 (May 30, Mt. Hood Track Festival), 4:25.87 in the mile (April 23, Raider Invitational) and 9:23.92 in the steeple (April 2, S.F. State Distance Carnival)... Finished ninth on the overall NAIA list for the steeple.
2015 Cross Country: Debuted for the Raiders with a 17th-place finish at the Cascade Conference Preview Meet on Sept. 18 in Salem, running Corban's 8K course in 27:55.4... Took 102nd of 240 at the S.F. State Invitational (26:50.9) on Oct. 9, and was 21st of 126 at the Lewis & Clark Invite (26:17.5) on Oct. 17.
Prior to SOU: Attended and competed at Santa Rosa Junior College for two years (2013-15) out of high school.
Personal: Born on Feb. 6, 1995 in Novato, Calif... Graduated in 2013 from Petaluma High... Majoring in financial mathematics.
