Biography
2017 Outdoor Track: Voted by the College Sports Information Directors of America as an Academic All-District 4 team member for his combined performance on the track and in the classroom, and also a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete… Was All-CCC at the Cascade Conference T&F Championships for the first time with a runner-up showing in the 10K, finishing in 32:14.34… Recorded a new personal best of 32:03.62 in the 10K at the S.F. State Distance Carnival, but sat for six weeks leading up to the conference meet due to an injury.
2016 Cross Country: Was SOU’s fourth scorer at the NAIA Championships, placing 44th of 331 overall in 25:31.1 on the 8K North Farms Cross Country Course as the Raiders won their second national title… An All-Cascade Conference runner for the third year in a row, placing 12th of 80 at the CCC Championships in 27:09.3… Placed 3rd of 97 at the Lewis & Clark Invite (25:37), 21st of 291 at the UW Sundodger Invitational (24:58.5) and 2nd of 108 at the 6,300-meter Ash Creek Invitational (19:06.8)… Voted the CCC men’s runner of the week after his outing at Ash Creek… A Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete and Academic All-CCC team member.
2015-16 SOU All-Sports Awards: Voted the Raiders' Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year.
2016 Track: Was shut down due to injury after posting a PR in the 1,500 (4:01.98) in his only race of the season, March 19 at the Sacramento State Invitational.
2015 Cross Country: Keyed SOU's eighth straight Cascade Conference men's championship on Nov. 7 in Salem by winning the individual title in a rout -- finishing Corban's 8K course in 25:27.7 to beat out runner-up Max Hampton of College of Idaho by more than eight seconds... Placed second at the CCC Preview Meet at the same course on Sept. 18 in 26:29.5... Was 15th of 240 runners at the S.F. State Invitational (25:16.7) on Oct. 9, resulting in CCC runner-of-the-week kudos... Won the Lewis & Clark Invite on Oct. 17 in Estacada with a time of 24:52.3, beating out 125 other finishers... Did not compete at the NAIA Championships due to illness... Selected to the Academic All-CCC team.
2015 Track: Qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championships with a season-best 5,000-meter time of 14:44.72 at the Brutus Hamilton Open, and placed 15th at the NAIA meet (15:29.47)... Took seventh place in the 5K at the Cascade Conference Championships in Ashland with a time of 15:16.24... Season-best 1,500-meter time was 4:04.56 at the SOU Raider Open.
2014 Cross Country: Became an All-Cascade Conference performer as a freshman by placing 12th at the CCC Championships with a time of 25:10, helping the Raidres to their seventh straight conference title... Placed 32nd of 116 at the Oregon State Beaver Invite with an 8K time of 26:57.7... Took 15th of 172 at the San Francisco State Invite (25:27.7)... Was 10th at the CCC Preview Meet at Fernhill Park in Portland with a time of 26:08.
Personal: A 2014 graduate of North Medford High... Majoring in biochemistry.
