2018: Named to the Academic All-Cascade Conference team for the second year in a row… Was in the middle of SOU’s lineup as the designated player for 51 games, finishing with a .327 batting average (55-for-168), a .392 on-base percentage, 14 doubles (the fifth-most in SOU single-season history), 34 RBI and 26 runs… Had 13 hits in 13 postseason games, and recorded an RBI in four consecutive games at the NAIA World Series… Drove in the go-ahead run in SOU’s last at-bat in a 5-3 elimination-game victory over Mobile (Ala.) on May 26.

2017: An Academic All-Cascade Conference honoree… Appeared in 30 games and made 27 starts, hitting .241 with four extra-base hits, 22 RBI and five runs scored… Keyed the Raider lineup by going 6-for-13 with five RBI in a series sweep of British Columbia on March 24-25.

2016: Was part of a platoon at first base and filled the designated player spot as a freshman, registering a .326 batting average with two home runs, three triples, 15 runs scored and 15 RBI… Was at her best in conference play, when she batted .392 (20-of-51) with 13 RBI and 10 runs in 18 starts… Hit her first home run on March 20 at Great Falls.

Personal: Born on Dec. 2, 1996 in Northridge, California… The daughter of Piedad and Juan Velasquez… Has an older brother, Estevan… Graduated in 2015 from Chatsworth High… Majoring in criminal justice.
