LA GRANDE --
Strong performances by Southern Oregon's Natalie Scheller (Bend, Ore./Bend) and Renee Yomtob (Boise, Idaho/Centennial) helped the Raiders sweep a pair of home volleyball matches over the weekend, and the two have been recognized as Red Lion Cascade Collegiate Conference Players of the Week for their efforts.

Scheller was named the CCC Hitter of the Week after totaling 32 kills in a pair of wins over Northwest Christian and Corban. The senior outside hitter averaged 4.57 kills per set with a combined .377 attack percentage to earn her first career player of the week honor.

Yomtob was named the conference Libero of the Week after finishing the weekend with 42 digs in seven sets for an average of six per set. For the season, the junior ranks fourth in the conference with an average of 5.03 digs per set.

The Raiders return to action this weekend, when they will host Concordia on Friday and Warner Pacific on Saturday to open the second half of the conference schedule. Matches will start at 7 p.m. both nights at Bob Riehm Arena.
